Fountain Valley Map of Fountain Valley/Fountain
First
settled in the 1850’s, Fountain Valley is about ten miles south of
Colorado Springs and thirty miles north of Pueblo, Colorado. Fountain
is the only incorporated city in the valley. The communities of
Widefield and Security are unincorporated areas. All of these
communities are neighbors to Fort Carson, one of the youngest
installations in the U.S. Army. Currently, Fort Carson, “The Mountain
Post”, is undergoing significant growth, which in turn is having a
profound positive impact on the valley’s three communities. New
housing, businesses and retail opportunities are sprouting up all over
the valley adding to an already impressive quality of life. People like
to live in Fountain Valley because it has great schools, small town
charm, affordability and proximity to big city amenities.
