Divide is about seven miles west of Woodland Park and sits atop Ute Pass at 9,280 feet. Named Divide because water run-off divided to the north, south east and west at this point, Divide has played important roles in the history of train travel and that of the Colorado gold fields. Located at the entrance of Mueller State Park visitors to and residents of Divide take full advantage of the park’s many trails and the abundant wildlife to discover and watch.
