Woodland Park                                              Map of Woodland Park

Woodland Park is the largest city in Teller County. It has primarily benefited from the tourist trade, with thousands of campers spending time each year in the surrounding forests and gamblers stopping off on their way to or from the casinos in Cripple Creek. Woodland Park has also served as a high level (literally – 8,465 ft. altitude) “bedroom community” to Colorado Springs. However, as more people seek a lifestyle that takes advantage of the one-of-a-kind outdoor setting Woodland Park has to offer the community is experiencing residential and commercial growth that is creating a new independence and identity. Woodland Park’s downtown district is home to a number of delightful shops and galleries, many specializing in western jewelry, clothing and art. Dining options range from simple coffee house to fine dining establishments, with some local gems for donuts and Bar-B-Que for you to discover. Residential opportunities are many and varied, but all have what seems to be the overwhelming common denominator – wooded lots with spectacular views. Add in the quality education provided by the Woodland park RE 2 School District and you have the perfect recipe that takes the casual visitor and turns them into a long-term resident.
